Medium Triske or Dries Peeters (°1994, Ypres) is a multidisciplinary artist and craftsman. He makes drawings, sculptures and installations next to a practice of furniture design and music. A conscious choice for this broad playing field keeps everything slow but fresh. Philosophy of technology and an ecological sobriety are recurring themes in the installations while the drawings and music focus more on human relations. His furniture is bold yet warm, keeping the building process visible and respecting the shapes and properties of materials.
Dries studied drawing and printmaking at Luca School of Arts in Ghent, obtained a master in liberal arts in 2017. He is a welder and 4th generation carpenter. Musically he is in the first place a singer also playing the cornet and studying ud/Arabic lute with Sadig Gibril and tabla with Sattar Khan. The humble music studio in his workshop is the result of a self-study in music production and audio engineering.
Part of the crew starting up Pleasure Island, a non-profit artspace in Ostend since 2019.
Part of sound collective De Zwarte Zusters, now named a-e-i-o-u from 2017 till 2023.
